Panhypophysitis

Definition

A hypophysitis characterized by an inflammation of the entire pituitary gland. Common clinical presentation is diabetes insipidus with polyuria and polydipsia and partial or panhypopituitarism. Other symptoms may include headaches, nausea/vomiting, visual disturbances and fatigue.
