Definition
A pityriasis rubra pilaris that has a juvenile onset. The peak incidence has a bimodal distribution, with the first peak at age six to seven yearss. The classical childhood-onset subtype of PRP usually develops in the late teenage years but may also be seen in the first few years of life.
