Definition

A syndrome characterized by an uncommon and relatively unknown cause of facial ulceration that occurs after damage to the trigeminal nerve. It characteristically involves non-healing facial ulceration(s) with accompanying anesthesia, paresthesia, and dysesthesia along the distribution of a trigeminal dermatome.
