Definition

A parenteral thiopenem with broad-spectrum antibacterial activity against most gram-positive and gram-negative bacteria. Sulopenem is not active against Pseudomonas aeruginosa. In addition, this agent is fairly stable against hydrolysis by various beta-lactamases.
