Definition
A segmental renal artery that passes anterior to the renal pelvis, inferiorly and laterally towards the inferior pole of the kidney. It supplies the inferior lobe of the kidney, which encompasses the whole of the inferior pole of the kidney, including the anterior and posterior surfaces.
