Definition
The lumbar lymph nodes (paraaortic nodes) are a group of lymph nodes residing in the lumbar region. They consist of the following groups: right and left lateral aortic lymph nodes preaortic lymph nodes retroaortic lymph nodes (or 'postaortic').
