Nucleus of lateral lemniscus

Definition

Groups of cells situated largely within the fiber bundles of the lateral lemniscus. Two nuclei are usually distinguished: a ventral group and a dorsal group (Brodal, Neurological Anatomy, 3rd ed., 1981, pg. 619).
