Optic foramen
Definition
In teleost fishes the opening is wider that in mammals. Due to the longer and deeper shape in mammals, this is usually called the optic canal; sometimes the term optic foramen may be used for the opening of the canal, but here we use this term to denote the entire space together with surrounding bone surface.
Also known as optic canal, optic foramen, optic nerve (II) foramen, optic nerve foramen — per UBERON
The Optic foramen is a part of the Musculoskeletal.
