Anterior inferior segmental renal artery

Definition

A segmental renal artery that passes anterior to the renal pelvis, laterally and angled slightly inferiorly. It supplies the anteroinferior lobe of the kidney, which includes the central anteroinferior region, extending to the lateral aspect and slightly onto the posterior surface of the kidney.
