Transurethral Electrovaporization of the Prostate
Definition
Application of electrical energy to electrosurgically vaporize or remove the obstructive enlarged prostatic tissue. In electrosurgical vaporization, the electrode rapidly heats the tissue cells so that they turn into steam, leaving a space where the prostate tissue was previously present.
